Conflict in Banda: former chief’s son shot dead in road construction; Two injured, both families face to face in panchayat elections
There is still more than two months to go for panchayat elections in Uttar Pradesh. But there have been reports of responsible fighting, struggle and murder. The latest case is from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh. There were several rounds of firing between the two sides in the road construction dispute here. In which one person died from being shot. While two others were injured. In both the families, there is reported to be a clash of election elections.
The deceased’s mother was defeated by the wife of the accused
Ashoka Kumari is the wife of former Block Chief Anoop Singh, resident of Khurhand village in Girwa police station area. He defeated Basanti Devi, wife of Chhatrapal, a resident of the village. Due to this, there is an electoral rivalry in both the families.
Ajit was adamant on building the road
Construction of CC Road from the District Panchayat Fund is going on in the village. On Thursday, there was a dispute between Basanti Devi’s son Ajit Singh and Pradhan’s husband Anoop Singh. Anoop Singh was refusing to become the road. At the same time, when Ajit Singh pressured to build the road, there was a tension between the two sides and several rounds of firing took place. In which Ajit was shot and died on the spot. While his cousin Abhay Singh and Vikas from the other side were injured.
Police in search of absconding accused
Police force reached the spot as soon as information was received about the incident. The injured have been rushed to the district hospital. At the same time, the accused are absconding. The police is in their grip. The father of the deceased, former Chief Chhatrapal, has given a tahrir alleging that the daughter was shot and killed. According to the police, Tahrir is talking about filing a case.
