MOSCOW: Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has been in hospital for the past six months, has been arrested by the country’s police on his return home.

Alexei Navalny is the Leader of the Opposition in Russia. Known as a staunch anti-Putin, he fell ill on a flight from Siberia to the Russian capital, Moscow, on August 21.

He was first given first aid in the Russian capital, Moscow. However, his health did not improve. Following that, he was flown to Germany on a private plane for high treatment.
