Home Minister Amit Shah tests positive for Covid-19: In the midst of the ongoing corona crisis in the country, Home Minister Amit Shah has also become infected with Coronavirus. Amit Shah himself informed about this by tweeting. Amit Shah has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon.

Amit Shah tweeted,

‘On seeing the initial symptoms of Corona, I got the test done and the report has come positive. My health is fine, but I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors. I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your inquiry done.

Sources suggested that the new educational policies (NEP 2020) were agreed at a last Cabinet meeting where Amit Shah had been present. During the meeting, social distances and the wearing of masks were strictly followed.

In the last few months, Cabinet meetings were convened at the Prime Minister ‘s house due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Strict procedures, including temperature restrictions, compulsory use of Aarogya Setu and the exclusion of domestic cars for ferry passengers have been in place, said sources. Physical meetings were nevertheless kept to a minimum and digital conferences were stressed.

BJP President JP Nadda tweeted and prayed for the soon recovery of Home Minister Amit Shah.

He tweeted and wrote,

‘The news of the Honorable Home Minister Amit Shah being corona infected was received. I pray to God for his speedy recovery.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also wished Amit Shah to get well soon.

He tweeted,

‘Amitji, your perseverance and willpower has been an example in front of every challenge. You will definitely win over this big challenge of Corona virus, I believe so. You are healthy as soon as possible, this is my prayer to God.

Assam minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wished Amit Shah to recover soon.

He tweeted and said,

‘I wish you a speedy recovery.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has also wished Home Minister Amit Shah to get well as soon as possible.

Mamata Banerjee tweeted,

Heard about the Union Home Minister Shri. Amit Shah has been found to be Corona positive. Wish him a speedy recovery. My prayers are with him and his family!

Environment Minister Babul Supriyo said on Friday evening he visited Amit Shah and was on isolation.

She Tweeted,

Amit Shah took part in a webinar of ICCR a day earlier. Vinay Sahastrabuddhe was present in this program organized on the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak. Earlier, there was a cabinet meeting on Wednesday. However, it is not clear whether he went to it or participated in the video conference.

India Covid-19 Update

More than 50 thousand cases of Covid-19 were seen in one day on Sunday in the country. According to the latest data, after 54,735 new cases were reported in 24 hours, total cases of corona infection have increased to 17,50,723 while the number of healthy people has also increased to 11,45,629.

According to the statistics of the Union Health Ministry till Sunday morning, after the death of 853 people in one day, the number of people who died from this disease has increased to 37,364. According to the data, the recovery rate of Kovid-19 patients is 65.43 percent while the positivity rate is 11.81 percent.
