India-Bangladesh digital summit today, PM Modi and Sheikh Hasina will announce many agreements

New Delhi. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) will attend the Digital Summit today. During this time, the two countries are expected to sign nine agreements in different areas. Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen has said this. Earlier, Bangladesh Foreign Ministry officials had said that four MoUs would be signed between the two sides.

The two leaders will also witness the opening of the old rail route- Chilahati-Haldibari railroad once after 55 years. It was closed during the Indo-Pakistan War in 1965 and Bangladesh was a part of Pakistan at that time. The rail route will connect Cooch Behar and Chilahati in Bangladesh. Momen said that during the digital meeting, about nine MoUs are likely to be signed in different areas. But these have not been finalized yet because they are still working on it.

Can issue postage stamps
At the same time, the work of the Akhura-Agartala rail link connecting Tripura to Bangladesh in the northeast will also be reviewed which is to be started by 2021. In addition, the two Prime Ministers may issue a commemorative postage stamp to commemorate the birth centenary of Bangladesh’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Earlier on Wednesday, on the occasion of the completion of 49 years of Bangladesh’s separation from Pakistan, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that people of all religions and castes have equal rights in Bangladesh. Addressing a meeting organized by the ruling Bangladesh Awami League on ‘Great Victory Day’, the Prime Minister said, “People of all religions have equal facilities in Bangladesh, as they have shed their blood to liberate the country.” An attempt was made to create controversy over the statue of Bangabandhu ….
