Jammu and Kashmir DDC Election Results: Counting of votes today, main contest between BJP-Gupta alliance


Srinagar: The counting of elections of District Development Council in Jammu and Kashmir will be held today (Tuesday). Counting of votes will start in all districts at 9 am. Voting took place for the first time in Jammu and Kashmir after the removal of Article 370, in which voters participated extensively.

4180 candidates decide the future

Voting took place in eight phases for a total of 280 seats in these elections and a total of 4181 candidates were in the fray, whose future will be decided today. Out of these, the number of male candidates is 3 thousand 731, while there are 450 female candidates.

BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain says that the DDC elections will be written in golden letters in history. Voting was done in 8 stages

Voting for the District Development Council elections took place in 8 stages. The eighth phase saw the highest voting percentage of 83.5 percent. In the first phase, voting was 51.76, in the second phase 48.62, in the third phase 50.53, in the fourth phase 50.08, in the fifth phase 51.20, in the sixth phase was 51.51 and in the seventh phase 57.22 percent voting was done.
