Kisan Andolan 44 Day Live Updates: Today is the 44th day of the farmers’ movement on different borders of Delhi against the agricultural laws of the central government. Today is the eighth round between the farmers’ organizations and the government. This meeting will be held at 2 pm in Vigyan Bhawan. Tomar, Food Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State for Commerce Som Prakash are representing the talks on behalf of the government with 40 protesting farmers’ organization leaders. Earlier on Thursday, the protesting farmers took out tractor rallies for their demand for withdrawal of three new agricultural laws, while the Center insisted that it is ready to consider every proposal other than withdrawing these laws.

Earlier, this meeting is important after the meeting held on 4 January was inconclusive. In the sixth round of talks on December 30, the government had accepted two demands for power subsidy and stubble burning of farmers. There was no success in any earlier talks.
