Lahore Prime Minister Narendra Modi has written a letter expressing condolences on the demise of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan and mother of PML (N) chief Nawaz Sharif.

This letter was released by Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) on Thursday.
In the letter, PM Modi also recalled the meeting with Nawaz Sharif’s mother during his 2015 visit to Lahore.
Recalling his conversation with Sharif’s mother, PM Modi wrote in the letter, ‘His simplicity and warmth were indeed very heartfelt. In this hour of grief, I pray to God to give you and your family the strength to bear this irreparable loss. ‘
