Poisonous liquor havoc: 4 people killed by drinking poisonous liquor in Bulandshahr, UP; 6 people in critical condition, three suspended for negligence
Four people died due to drinking poisonous liquor in Bulandshahr, UP while 15 people have been admitted to different hospitals with the condition of 6 being critical.
Four people died after consuming poisonous liquor in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh. In addition, more than a dozen people are ill. The condition of six of these people is critical. On getting information about the incident, the administrative staff was stirred up. Police force of several police stations including SDM has reached the spot.
According to the information, the case is of Jeet Garhi village of Secunderabad police station area. Large quantities of illicit liquor are sold in this area. It is being told that some people of the village had drunk alcohol on Thursday. People’s condition worsened by drinking alcohol. He was admitted to a hospital in the district for treatment. The team of doctors declared 4 people dead after being brought to the hospital. 15 people have been admitted to different hospitals.
3 policemen suspended including the station in-charge
Meanwhile, the SP has taken strict action on the negligence of the police station in the case. Three people including the station in-charge Dixit Kumar Tyagi have been suspended. Meanwhile, the villagers have alleged that poisonous liquor was being sold in connivance with the liquor mafia and the Excise Department.
On receipt of the incident, the police reached the village, started searching for the person selling the liquor. At present, the police have detained three people in this case. Bulandshahr SP Santosh Kumar Singh has told that the matter has come to cognizance, investigation is being done.
