Another Congress legislator has resigned forward of a no-confidence vote tomorrow to show the ruling Congress government’s majority in the Pondicherry Assembly.

Thus with out the Speaker, the power of the Congress occasion in the New Delhi Assembly would have been diminished to 9.

Lakshmi Narayanan, a Rajya Sabha member from the Congress occasion and secretary to Chief Minister Narayanasamy’s Assembly Affairs, has resigned.

The Speaker met him at Sivakozhundu’s residence and handed over the letter.

Earlier, 4 legislators from the Congress occasion resigned. Following them, one other Congress legislator has resigned, inflicting a stir in Pondicherry politics.

Namasivayam and Deepayanthan, who had resigned earlier, joined the BJP.

According to political sources, Lakshmi Narayanasamy, who has resigned, has joined the Puducherry NRC. However this info will not be but confirmed.
