A Salisbury household is now in the hunt for their lacking relative who was final seen on Wednesday February 24, 2021, aboard a blue fishing boat.
Pierre Williams, aged 50 from Salisbury, is alleged to have vanished in open waters on that date.
Speaking to Dominica News Online (DNO), Agatha Williams, a member of the family of the lacking man, said that on the day in query, Pierre Williams and some different fishermen locally, had been on the seashore at Salisbury when he borrowed his pal’s boat and went out however by no means made it again to shore.
“Well, he was doing his normal little fishing and then he went out with the boat but the guy said he noticed at one point the wind got very high so the guys by the bay said they were looking at him from shore but at one point he vanished,” she stated.
Ms. Williams added, “So after a while when they realised the wind was getting stronger, they sent someone to look for him but they didn’t get him but it’s something he was always doing so there was no suspicion involved.”
She stated nonetheless, later within the night when he had didn’t return, the household grew to become involved.
“So in the night, the Salisbury police were informed that he was missing and they called the Coast Guard who also came to look for him that same night but [no] luck as yet,” Ms. Williams stated.
According to her, the French authorities who had been additionally aiding within the search and rescue have since discontinued their help.
“From the time he was reported missing, we have seen all different boats on the sea and helicopters searching but the police told us this morning that Guadeloupe called off the search on their end because they not finding no signs of him,” she stated.
Ms. Williams stated their household would like to be reunited with the lacking man alive and in good spirits but when he has suffered an unlucky destiny, they want to have his physique recovered for closure.
