Chennai. A district in Tamil Nadu received so much rain on Tuesday that the record of 100 years was broken. Chengalpattu district received a record 21 mm of rain in one day. According to a report published on Hindustan Times, this district did not receive so much rain in the last 100 years in any month of January. Less rain was recorded on 15 January 1915. Then 21.5 mm of rain was recorded in one day.
