Earlier on 25 November, the Bombay High Court while hearing a petition filed by Kangana Ranaut and his sister Rangoli Chandel, ordered the duo to appear at the Bandra police station on 8 January.

Justice S. s. Shinde and Justice M.S. Karnik’s bench accepted the plea of ​​advocate Rizwan Siddiqui that the two sisters would report to the Mumbai Police in response to the summons given against them.

Case has been registered in these sections

Metropolitan Magistrate of Bandra Jaydev Y Ghule ordered an inquiry against Kangana by registering an FIR under Section 156 (3) of the CRPC. Taking action on this, the police have registered a case against Kangana and her sister in the following sections.

  • Section 153 A: Section 153 (a) of the IPC is imposed on those who try to spread hatred among people on the basis of religion, language, race, etc. This can include imprisonment of up to 3 years or fine or both.
  • Section 295 A: Under it, acts are considered offenses where an accused person insults or tries to do so, with the deliberate and malicious intent of hurting the religious sentiments of a section of the citizens of India.
  • Section 124A: If any person publicly commits any such activity in protest against the Government of India, which may cause a security crisis in front of the country, then he can be punished with life imprisonment. Anybody who supports or propagates these activities will also be considered as accused of treason.
  • Section 34: According to Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, when a criminal act is committed by all persons with common intention, each person is responsible for such act as if the offense was committed by him alone.
