During the last 24 hours in Uttar Pradesh, 188 more people died of Kovid-19 infected and 3278 new patients confirmed the infection. Official sources said that during the last 24 hours, the number of people killed due to this virus has increased to 19900 in the state with 188 Kovid-19 infected and more deaths in the state. Sources said that the maximum 15 deaths occurred in the capital Lucknow, besides 14-14 deaths in Farrukhabad and Meerut, eight in Varanasi and seven in Prayagraj.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Medicine and Health Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters on Thursday that during the last 24 hours, Kovid-19 infection has been confirmed in 3278 new patients in the state while 6995 patients have also been cured. The maximum number of 206 new patients has been found in Gorakhpur. Apart from this, 199 have been confirmed in Saharanpur, 169 in Ghaziabad, 166 in Varanasi and 164 in Meerut, and 22 new patients have been confirmed of Kovid-19 infection in Agra.
Additional Chief Secretary informed that the percentage of recovery in the state has gone up to 95.4 and since April 30, the number of under-trials in the state has fallen by 81.26%. Prasad said that at present, 58270 Kovid-19 infected patients are being treated in the state, out of which 34508 patients are being treated separately at home.
Prasad said that more than three lakh 45 thousand samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours. So far more than one crore 70 lakh doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been put in the state. Meanwhile, along with Corona in the Hapur district of the state, cases of black fungus have also started to increase and one victim died on Wednesday. He was undergoing treatment in Delhi.
According to statistics, two people have died due to black fungus in Hapur, while five infected people are under treatment. On the other hand, District Collector of Agra District PN Singh said that 596 villages of the district have now become infection free. He informed that there are cases of infection in 94 villages of the district.
